Some folk say, that it does not matter how we address our Creator, they say “He
knows who we mean.” Is this so? Can we really just call HIM, “God”, “Lord”, “Jesus”
or even, “The Big Guy in the sky?” Our opinion on this subject really does not matter.
Only the opinion of our Elohiym is of any consequence.
Happily, Yahweh has not left us ignorant of His thoughts on the subject. He has
provided ample scriptures, that leave us in no doubt about His Name and it’s
importance to us.
HIS NAME ENDURES FOREVER!
Psalm 135:13
“Your Name , O YAHUWEH, endures forever, Your fame, O YAHUWEH, throughout all generations.”
Exodus 3:15
“And Elohiym said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children
of Israel, YAHUWEH Elohiym of your fathers, the Elohiym of Abraham, the
Elohyim of Isaac, and the Elohiym of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is My
Name forever, and this is My memorial unto all generations.”
Hosea 12:5
“Even YAHUWEH Elohiym of hosts, YAHUWEH is His memorial.”
The correct Name is very important to Yahweh, it is Who He Is.
Isaiah 42:8
“I am YAHUWEH: that is My Name: and My honour I will not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.”
This cannot be more clear, Yahuweh will not accept us making substitutes.
The Messiah came in His Father’s name, the name of Yahuweh.
John 5:43
“I am come in My Father’s Name, and ye receive Me not: if another shall come in his own name, you will receive him.”
The majority of the House of Yahudah have never accepted Yahushua as Messiah.
This is the tribe of Israel, that bears the name of the Father Yahuweh, ‘Yahudah’.
Messiah came unto his own and was rejected by them.
John1:11
“He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.”
Small wonder then, that as the message went out to the other Ten tribes, the Name
was quickly hidden, as the Father’s name had been.
Matthew15:24
“But He answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the House
of Israel.”
John10:16
“And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also must I bring, and
they shall hear My voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.”
Matthew10:6
“But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel”
As the Apostles took the Gospel of the Good News of the Kingdom of YHWH out
to the 10 tribes, scattered among the nations, the peoples of the nations also got to
hear the Good News, which as long as they joined themselves to Israel, they were
welcome to partake of also. This is how Salvation (Yahushua) came to the Nations.
However, as the teachings of Messiah became mixed with paganism, resulting in
the birth of the Babylonian mystery religion spreading out of Rome. So too, was the
name of Messiah Yahushua substituted, and replaced by the name Jesus Christ.
This Babylonian mystery religion is what is now known as “Christianity”, and regarded
as ‘truth’ by many, when sadly it is anything but. It simply has a little truth in the mix.
Does the Name of Jesus contain salvation? The answer is simply “NO.”
Does the Name of Jesus have any connection to the Father in Heaven? Again, “NO”.
How is anyone to find Salvation?
Matthew 28:19
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Set Apart Spirit”
Acts 2:38
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the
name of Yahushua Messiah for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the
gift of the Set Apart Spirit.”
Acts 8:12
“But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the Kingdom of
Elohiym, and the name of Yahushua Messiah, they were baptized, both men and women.”
Acts 19:5
“When they heard this, they were baptized in the Name of the Sovereign Yahushua.”
Romans 6:3
“Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Yahushua Messiah were baptized into His death?”
It is very clear that in order to find Salvation ,we must first repent, believe and be
baptized into the Name of the Saviour.
Mark 16:16
“He That believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not
shall be damned.”
It could not be more clear, that being baptized into the name of Messiah is essential.
Some “Christian” denominations have “christenings” whereby the baby is sprinkled.
Is this what is required? A baby cannot sin, a baby cannot repent, a baby cannot
decide what or who, he or she believes. In other words a baby cannot fulfil the
baptismal pre requisites, which require the maturity of an adult. Babies and children
cannot make this decision. Also the only scripturally correct method of baptism, is
by full body immersion, as unto a watery grave.
Some ‘Christian” denominations baptise in the name of, “The Father ,The Son and
The Holy Spirit.” Some baptise in the Name of “Jesus Christ”. Others try to mix the
two previous methods together. Are all or any of these methods correct in the sight
of YHWH?
Firstly if one is baptized in, “The Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit”,
there is ‘no name’ involved. One could say, whose father, whose son? As for the Holy
Spirit, please check our page called ‘Confusion of Words’, for an explanation, as to
why we avoid the use of the dubious word “Holy”. So this “no name” baptism is
not fulfilling the scriptural requirement. What about the name of Jesus Christ? Is
that an acceptable substitute? Let us examine this openly and honestly.
The name into which we are to be baptised, must be the name of the Father and
the Son and The Set Apart Spirit, that much is indisputable. The Name of the Father
is YAHUWEH, sometimes shortened to YAH, as is found in a number of Psalms, and
also at the end of HalleluYah (HalleluYah means Praise Yah). Is the name of YAH
found in the Name of Jesus? Well quite obviously, no, it is not. Can the Name of
Jesus be in any way found in the Name of the Father Yahuweh? Well, no, it can’t.
So how can being baptised into the name of ‘Jesus’, be fulfilling the instruction for
being baptised, in the Name of the Father and the Son and the Set Apart Spirit.
It simply cannot!
The original Hebrew Name of “Yahushua Ha Mashiach” is the only name that
contains the name of the Father, The Son and the Set Apart Spirit. You may well
be thinking that you can see how the Father’s Name Yahuweh, which Messiah said
He came in (John5:43), is clearly evident in the Name of Yahushua, but what of the
Set Apart Spirit? Happily, The Messiah left us in no doubt about this, He answered
this question Himself.
John 14:26
“But the Comforter, which is the Set Apart Spirit, whom the Father will send in
My Name he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your
remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
John15:26
“But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father,
even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of
me.”
Very clearly then the Set apart Spirit was to come in the Name of Yahushua,
and the Set Apart Spirit proceeded as did Yahushua from the Father YAHUWEH.
This confuses some, but recall Yahushua said,
John14:10
“Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? the words
that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in
me, He doeth the works.”
Clearly There is only ONE NAME that simultaneously belongs to The Father ,Son and
Set Apart Spirit, that is the Name of Yahushua.
Check the Hebrew words for “salvation” written in the Old Covenant Scriptures.
While there are a number of different references, you might be surprised to see
how close they all come to being “yahushua”. Yahushua means YAH SAVES .
If we were to want a truly English translation of “Yahushua Ha Mashiach” it would
have to be “Salvation The Messiah” not, Jesus Christ.
The names of The Father Yahuweh and The Son Yahushua, are not to be ignored or
despised.
Ephesians 3:14-15
“For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Master Yahushua
Messiah,
Of whom the whole family and earth is named.”
By No Other Name can we be saved.
Acts 4:12
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
Proverbs 18:10
“The Name of YAHUWEH is a strong tower,: the righteous runneth into it, and
is safe.”
Micah 5:4
“And he shall stand and feed in the strength of YAHUWEH, in the majesty of the
Name of YAHUWEH his Elohiym; and they shall abide: for now shall He be great
unto the ends of the earth.”
Nothing really can be any clearer than that THE NAME MATTERS. Without the Name
we are nothing going nowhere, there is No Other Name that saves.
Yahushua is salvation sent from Yahuweh.
YAHUWEH ECHAD- YAHUWEH IS ONE.(Deut6:4)
Ephesians 1:19-23
“And what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe,
according to the working of His mighty power,
Which He wrought in Messiah, when He raised Him from the dead, and set Him
at His own right hand in the Heavenly places,
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and every name that is
named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
And hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the Head over all
things to the called out ones,
Which is His body, the fulness of Him that filleth ALL in ALL.”
There can be no doubt about it, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
Let us give Messiah Yahushua the last say on the matter.
John3:18
“He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is
condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only
begotten Son of Elohiym.”
